Any time I try to take a snapshot to save to disk, whether it be Save or Save As, the viewer freezes for a few seconds and then crashes. If I take a snapshot and save to inventory, then try to save it or any other texture to my hard drive, alchemy also crashes.
From what I can gather, the crash is triggered any time the viewer tries to open a file dialog.
The operating system is Manjaro Linux, which is based on Arch Linux. I've had similar issues with other viewers in the past on Arch Linux.
If I recall correctly, I think it was caused because Arch Linux's system copy of libpng or libjpeg contained a patch that broke ABI compatibility or something along those lines, and the solution was for the viewer to package its own libpng and libjpeg files in the libs folder.
