      Description

At InWorldz, there is a presence bug that sometimes causes messages to be treated as though they were offline messages (including some IMs in group chat). When recieved, they show up as offline messages.

Normally, this issue is just a minor annoyance. However, due to the way the viewer handles offline messages, the conversations window will pop up every time one of this "offline" messages is received. In addition, it steals focus from whatever other windows you may have open (such as scripting). This is extremely disruptive, especially during an active group chat, and interferes with a lot of activities (scripting in particular). This issue may also occur in opensim, but I don't know because I am not an active user of any opensim grids.

Firestorm has a workaround for this issue, as a setting in Preferences->Chat->Notices, labeled "Open Conversations when an offline message has been recieved", or its field in the debug settings, FSOpenIMContainerOnOfflineMessage. If that setting could be implemented, that would be great.

Another alternative would be to make the conversations window only pop up a single time per session as a result of an offline being recieved.
