Media on a Prim plays at improper volume for its range sometimes


Longer standing bug. Media on a prim will sometimes play at an improper volume, sometimes blarring at real loud volumes even though they are far across the sim without any respect to MediaRollOffMax and MediaRollOffMin

In all cases where this happens there's a pane playing media but it's not currently visible, like a player obscured in a high rise room. Or a car zipping by with a prim on the dash playing media.

When this happens I can fix the problem by zooming in on the media pane in question and then returning the camera to my avatar. When I do that MediaRollOffMax and MediaRollOffMin get respected.

Long story short, sometimes the viewer has an improper reckoning of the range to a media pane as far as sound is concerned until you make it visible.
